Hello –
I am setting up a registration system for a dance school. They want to replace their current PDF registration forms with an EE4 online system.
They offer various discounts (Early bird registration, second child) as well as full season registration and registrations by session (Fall, Winter and Spring) with installment payments.

I am confident that I can manage the questions and groups for the registration form, but setting up the individual “events” and payment options will be more complicated.
I am new to EE and want to make sure I don’t waste time setting things up in a way that I have to redo them. I also want to set up the courses so that we can just change the dates and prices for next year without having to re-do everything each season.
I am not sure which add-ins I should be using to enable the various functions we will need. I have purchased a premium support hour and hope to get things rolling without too many false starts.

A few questions to help clarify things:
- Each Course has 4 options – Sign up for the full session, or one or more of the Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions. Would I set up one event with 4 ticket options or 4 separate events?

- Would it be possible to set up the registration form with a Question Group for child 1, child 2 etc to get the details for each child, then display the full list of available courses and allow the parents to register all children at the same time? This scenario would make it easier to track the second child discount and apply the tax to the full amount.
- In the scenario above, Would I be able to add a custom or additional field to add the child’s name associated with each course?
- If a parent is paying by installments, could a reminder be triggered to process payments when they come due? I believe the Messages feature could be configured to do this?
- Is there a way to register for a class and hold a spot with a deposit, then trigger the final payments on a due date as above?
I’m excited to learn about all the great features that EE offers 🙂
