Hi there,

I use Bambora to process my online credit card transaction. They requires a change to support Hash Key Validation authentication before September 30, 2018, otherwise, transactions will fail.

I have pasted their email at below.

I talked to them on the phone to get a very brief understanding (not true understanding).

In my Bambora account order setting, under Security/Authentication section, there are three options my shopping cart can connect with Bambora gateway.

1. Use username/password validation against transaction
This is a legacy authentication method where API access passcode is recommended
User Name:
Password:

2. Require hash validation on all Payment Gateway transaction requests
Hash key:
Hash algorithm: MD5 SHA-1

3. Include hash validation in Transaction Response Page redirection and Payment Gateway Response Notification

If I understand correctly, my EventEspresso has to connect in one of those three ways, otherwise the transaction will fail on September 30, 2018.

Can you please tell me if EventEspresso is already connecting in one of the three ways? If yes, please provide me the corresponding information for me to put in my order setting as indicated in above three setting.

You can read below their email and click on link to the support page to find out more as I do not truly understand.

Thank you very much.

Steve

Hi Steve,

The EE3-compatible Beanstream gateway that was converted over to Bambora does not meet Bambora’s new requirements.

The upgrade path we recommend is upgrade to EE4 and use the Bambora Epay integration available from here:
