So, I just bought a personal licesnse for event espresso… how do i make it ‘upgrade’ on my wordpress site? Sorry this seems super obvious, but i can’t find how to do it.

Hi Evelyn,

Here are the steps to move from lite to premium.

1) Backup your WordPress

2) Download EE3 Premium from your Event Espresso account:

https://eventespresso.com/users/evelynpollock/#ee3-downloads

3) Go to your WordPress admin and deactivate Event Espresso 3 Lite

4) Go to Plugins from your WordPress admin/dashboard and click on Add New and Upload. Then browse to the file on your computer and select it and begin the upload process.

You can then activate it after it has finished uploading.

Your Event Espresso support license key can then be copied from your Event Espresso account page and pasted into the General Settings page for Event Espresso 3 in your WordPress admin.

Let us know if this works out for you.

Thanks

Lorenzo

Sure, we can help you with that.

It is under the Support License Keys area in your account:

https://eventespresso.com/users/evelynpollock/

Please copy and paste the code that ends in 78.

OK, so i did exactly as you said, but the files that i download from espresso don’t seem to be compatible with wordpress…
Basically they show up as a folder, within which there are a bunch of folders…. and it’s not a .zip file… it came over as a zip but it’s like they are unzipped and i get a ‘bad format’ error message. I am on a mac BTW.

Evelyn,

It turns out that Safari on the Mac will unzip zip files when you download them automatically. You can work around this with either of the two solutions in this stackexchange thread:
