Event Espresso seems to have everything I am looking for, but I’d like to get clarification on one piece that I haven’t been able to discern from reading the info on your site. Is it possible to create a maximum group ticket price? For example, we host a 5K where we charge $10 for individuals and $20 for families. So for the family pricing, if they register 3 people or 10 people, they would still only pay $20, but we need to have each person who is a part of the family be registered with names, age, etc. Can you just verify for me that this is doable and maybe give me an idea of how I would go about it using EE4? |

Hi Brandon, That isn’t possible with EE4 currently as there is no discounting system in place (it’s being built). Even when it comes into place I cannot guarantee that this particular style of discount will be included. |

What about creating two different types of tickets where one is a “Family Ticket” and the other is a “Family Add-on” ticket? The family add-on would be free and would only be available to those who had already purchased a Family Ticket first. Would that be doable? |
Hi Brandon, There isn’t currently a WP user integration for Event Espresso 4 so the software would not know if an attendee has already purchased an item. How about tiered pricing where an attendee would save money for purchasing a certain amount of tickets? Would something like that work for you? — |

I’m not positive. I guess it depends on what kinds of rules I can define for the tiers. Could you give me a couple examples of tiered pricing structures the system would allow keeping in mind that I’m trying to get as close to a solution where paying for more than two doesn’t cost much more than just two. (e.g. 1 = $10, 2 = $20, 3 = $21, 4 = $22)? I really think EE is the right choice for us but I want to make sure I can get this figured out before I pull the trigger. Thanks for working with me on this. |

Any thoughts on my last message? Specifically this pricing Scheme: Or something similar? If that is possible, then I’m all set, so I’d love to get that clarified. |

In EE3 there is a hook available right after the attendee is saved to the database. I’ve used that before to do a check of how many attendees were registered in the current session, and adjust the price charged accordingly. So you could do $10 for the first attendee, $20 for any more than one. But it is not something that is straight out of the box. You will need to get a custom function added to your site. Whether that’s something that you are comfortable doing is a judgement call on your part, but at the worst you would need to pay a developer for a couple of hours to write the custom functionality for you. |

Awesome, thanks, Sidney. I think between myself and the other web team members we can get that working. |
