I’m trying to find a way to register a group under just one ID, but so far I’ve failed: if I register X people, I get X IDs, but I just need one ID for all the group. Can it be done with EE4? if yes, how? Thanks in advance. |
Hi, You could use the Transaction ID. All of the registrations in one group will use that same transaction ID. |

I need to use a custom ID, can I generate custom transaction ID’s? if yes, can you point me to the documentation or some example? Thanks in advance. |

Forgot to add, I only use first attendant info, don’t need to register all in the group. I remember this worked in EE3 but can’t seem to get it to work in EE4. |
The transaction ID must be an integer, and the database will automatically iterate the ID. In other words, they cannot be customized. May I ask what are you trying to accomplish with a custom ID for the group? I can look into a solution for you if I can better understand what you’re going for.
In the event editor, you’ll uncheck any boxes next to question groups in the “Question for Additional Registrants”. |

Actually the reg code must not be changed. Each individual ticket or registration must have a unique reg code. If you need to attach a bank reference ID to the transaction, or even the same bank reference ID to all registrations in one transaction, you could add an “extra meta” field. Is this something you’re looking to do for internal tracking (like on your CSV reports, within the registration records) or only for display on that last page? |

It’s possible to build out some custom code to add a custom field for a group to have one code, but that code cannot be the reg code. The way the ticket scanner works in EE4 is different than EE3 in that the reg code for each registration must be unique. If they’re all the same, after the first scan you’ll get an error if you try to scan more tickets from that group. |
