Hi,
I have EE4 but the google maps don’t show up on the website. The error message states I should look in the JavaScript Console for technical details. Would you please let me know how to fix this problem?

Hi Erika,
Most likely you need to setup a Google Maps API key. Google required this a little while back and added an option to the google maps setting for it.
Go to: Event Espresso -> Venues -> Googles Maps.
There you will find a ‘Google Maps API Key’ setting and just below is a link that takes you to the location you need to generate one.
However, if you can link me to one of the pages that isn’t working I can confirm this when viewing this page.

thanks, that was my first step but it’s still not displaying. Any other suggestions?

Hi Erika,
I checked the page and the error from Google says:
Google Maps API error: RefererNotAllowedMapError
and they give some specific information here that says:
The current URL loading the Google Maps JavaScript API has not been added to the list of allowed referrers. Please check the referrer settings of your API key on the Google API Console.
You can follow the links in the Google Maps API documentation that will take you to the page where you can add to your list of allowed referrers under the Key restriction section.
