Having issue with getting Google Maps to display on event page.
Get a blank area and when cursor is over it, the map area displays “Use Ctrl+ scroll to zoom map”
Have tried installing a new API but issue remains.
Any suggestions.
Is there any other map service that might work with it?

Hi John,
We don’t have an integration with another map service at this time but the problem on your site is that Google changed Google Maps to no longer be ‘free’ and you don’t have billing enabled on your account.
In Chrome Dev Tools console the page throws this error:
Geocoding Service: You must enable Billing on the Google Cloud Project at https://console.cloud.google.com/project/_/billing/enable Learn more at https://developers.google.com/maps/gmp-get-started For more information on authentication and Google Maps JavaScript API services please see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key
You need to enable billing on the Google account to use Google Maps, they give you a $200 ‘credit’ each month and then bill you for any additional usage.

Thanks, finally got it going after working through their weird system to get the billing up dated.

I agree on the system being weird and personally don’t think they’ve handled the whole switching to a paid service situation well tbh, it’s simply not straight forward for most and many people aren’t aware of it but its Google so who’s going to argue at the end of the day.
Anyway, I’m glad you got it working.
