Hi,

This is the error given by Google maps that’s being output to the console when viewing that page:

Geocoding Service: You have exceeded your daily request quota for this API. If you did not set a custom daily request quota, verify your project has an active billing account: http://g.co/dev/maps-no-account For more information on usage limits and the Google Maps JavaScript API services please see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/usage

So in order to get a map displayed you’ll need to click through to the above links from Google and get set up with their new API requirements.

I linked billing account and enabled the api geocoding. Map is now showing just grey to me.

The error message remains the same:

You have exceeded your daily request quota for this API.

https://slack-files.com/T02SY781D-FCRQYBE4E-50e82605dd

This means that you have a maximum of API requests per day and that for today, you have exceeded that limit. Check what is the limit of requests.

It is showing 0 requests. It is a brand new API key.

You’ll need to contact Google about this, their maps API is outside the scope of Event Espresso’s control.

You’ll also need more than just the Geoencoding API enabled on your account for the maps to work, you also need at lease the Maps JavaScript API.

The emails use the Static Maps API so enable that whilst you’re there to prevent issues with those.

Also, was the key created using the Google Cloud Console (which you are logged into in the above screenshot) as it will pull the details from the old console but you’ll have a different key, if you click on the Details for the API, then go to Credentials, does it show the correct key?

I have enabled additional APIs. I have no restrictions on the key.

The keys did not match and now showing an Oops something went wrong message.

I have enabled additional APIs. I have no restrictions on the key.

I recommend you do set up some restrictions, at least have HTTP referrers setup for your domain otherwise anyone can start using your key for their own requests.
