I have enabled both the API and billing, but am still not getting my map to show up. Not sure how bust to troubleshoot.

Hi,
I checked your site and this is the error from Google when I check the console:
Geocoding Service: You must enable Billing on the Google Cloud Project at https://console.cloud.google.com/project/_/billing/enable Learn more at https://developers.google.com/maps/gmp-get-started For more information on authentication and Google Maps JavaScript API services please see: https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/get-api-key
It may help to doublecheck and make sure billing is enabled for that particular API service.

We had the same issue, so our workaround was to pull the HTML embed code from Google Maps and place it as a text into the Event Description.

Hi Sarah,
Whilst nothing particular wrong with doing the above, if you get the same error in the console then you just need to enable billing within your Google account and allow the key access to the API’s rather than manually adding the embed each time.

I do have billing enabled, so I’m somewhat at a loss. At least I thin I have it enabled – the google site is incredibly unclear… I’ll try the embed code.

If you log into your Google Cloud Platform, select your project in the dropdown at the top of the page (next to the title).
Click the menu icon (top right).
Scroll down to Google Maps and hover over that, then APIs
Which API’s do you have enabled?
