Hi, The map is not showing on the event and venue page. The API key is set and the venue is set to show google map. The page only renders the container for the map but not the map itself. There’s no error on debug console as well. Here’s a screenshot of the page as it’s not to be published yet: WordPress: Version 4.9.5 Any assistance will be very much appreciated. Thanks! |
Hi there, I’ll need to see the page itself rather than a screenshot but it looks like the GoogleMaps JS files are not being loaded on the page, can you search for ‘maps.googleapis.com` within the elements and see if you can see the Google Maps .js files there – http://take.ms/4wpxL The output shown in the above is just the base elements that get added to the content, googles .js injects the rest so either they aren’t there or there’s an error preventing the JS from running (but you mentioned no error in the console so I’m guessing there aren’t there). |

Hi, Thank you for your immediate response. You’re right, googlemaps js files are not being loaded. Please advise on what actions can i try to resolve this issue. Thanks again! |
If you temporarily switch to a default theme such as twentyseventeen does the map display correctly then? |

Hi, I tried switching theme and the map works fine. Can you please check the list and let me know if any of those plugins could be conflicting with Event Espresso? I can’t do a testing of deactivating the plugins one by one because the site is currently live. Thank you! |
If you switched the theme and the map starting working, then how is that the result of a plugin conflict? In any case, you can safely rule out a plugin or theme conflict on a live site by installing the Health Check plugin. The Health Check plugin has a “Troubleshooting mode” that can be used to deactivate plugins for the admin only (everyone else will continue to see the site as normal with all plugins activated). After you install the Health Check plugin, you go to WP → Dashboard → Heath Check → Troubleshooting. There you’ll Enable Troubleshooting Mode, then once that’s activated you’ll reactivate Event Espresso only via the Health Check’s Troubleshooting item in the WP admin bar. Then at that point you can reactivate plugins one by one until you find the map is broken again. |
