For some reason our admin email address is receiving emails from Google calendar saying that one of our attendees has accepted an invitation to our event. I assume it has something to do with the ical button but I’m not sure what it’s doing. I’m going to copy and paste the content of the email below. There is also an invite.ics attachment to the email. —–Original Appointment—– kleinschmidtorama@gmail.com has accepted this invitation. When Sat Aug 17, 2019 12:45pm – 1:45pm Eastern Time – New York Calendar trainingapps@redferncanines.com Who • trainingapps@redferncanines.com – organizer • kleinschmidtorama@gmail.com – creator An entry level class consisting of the Introduction to Training Seminar followed by 6 weekly classes. This course is designed for dogs 7 months of age and older as of the first day of class. Basic obedience skills and training techniques and tips are the focus of this class. Skills taught include sit, down, come, stand, loose leash walking, no jumping, and attention. Purpose: To help handlers socialize their dogs and to teach basic obedience skills. All Entry-Level Classes (Puppy, Beginners & Reactive Rover) include participation in a 1-session “Introduction to Training Seminar” prior to the first class session. This mandatory Introductory Seminar (for humans only — no dogs necessary) is included in the course fee, and will be offered at a variety of times to enable all students to choose a session that fits their schedule. Introduction to Training Seminar dates can be selected during registration for the Puppy, Beginners, or Reactive Rover class. Hi there, The iCal feature in Event Espresso uses the email set in Event Espresso -> General Settings -> Primary Contact Email as the ‘Organizer’ within the ICS file: https://www.kanzaki.com/docs/ical/organizer.html So when the user adds the event to their calendar the email used for that event will be the above. May I ask which value you prefer to use there? |
|
I’m not sure. That’s probably the appropriate value to use, but we don’t want to receive any emails when someone adds one of our events to their personal calendar. This particular one was a six session course and we received six emails, one for every session. We weren’t sending invitations to events or anything like that. Just someone signed up for the class and apparently added it to his calendar and we received these emails. |

Oh, I see. Thanks. Seems silly that I have to sign that address up for a Google account in order to have them NOT send anything. I appreciate your help. |
