We are starting out a new bounce house rental company, and so far, any software we found (EMS) is WAY too expensive and force you into a monthly charge for your entire business.
Will Event Expresso be a could solution, being that we know wordpress (and that you support Stripe) for us to rent bounce houses, calendaring, accessories (generator, table, chairs, etc) for us?

Hi Alan,
Thank you for considering Event Espresso.
It depends on how you would like the rentals to work. If you can provide further details on how you would like this to work (the more details the better) we can break it down further and see if there is a solution within Event Espresso.
Currently Event Espresso is designed to have individual events created that users register onto, this can be adapted to suit a appointment/rental based system but it isn’t designed to do so.
For example with Event Espresso you would need to create the individual days (as events) that are available for people to register onto for the rental. These can include multiple tickets which will cover the generator, tables, chairs, etc but to be clear the admin would need to create each individual event (available rental day) manually.
If the rental was available for each day of the month you would need to create an ‘event’ for each day to allow users to register onto that event for the rental.
We have 2 versions of Event Espresso currently, EE3 and EE4. Each have their own feature set (EE4 has more features but not the same features as EE3)
The Recurring Events Manager for EE3 can help with creating multiple recurring events such as these, but that is not available for EE4 currently.
I think the best way to see if this will suit your needs is to take a look at our demo sites so you can get a feel for how this would work.
The ‘latest’ version is EE4, you can demo that here:

You can also Test Drive Event Espresso 3
(This version has REM which basically creates duplicates of an event and changes the dates of the new events based on a formula you provide, there is an interface to help with this)
As mentioned if you can provide further details on how you would like this to work we can recommend the best way to go about doing so with Event Espresso but either way will require work within the admin (setting up the ‘rentals’) and possibly some custom development if there isn’t functionality available to suit your needs.
