Is there a way we can just make the person registering for sponsorship mandatory to fill out and then the others can update as needed? Everything is mandatory on the front end and I feel people are dropping off. How do i make additional golfers not mandatory to add in registration? |
Hi idavila, How are you today? I’m not sure I understand your situation. What are your ticket options that make it mandatory to add additional golfers to a registration? |

Sorry, so here is the issue: Everything is asked for upfront including images & logos so that needs to be updated. We want to be able to have the golf registrants (some are 6, some are 3 depending on the level they purchased). If they do not have ALL the info when registering, we want to know how they can log in and add that info? |

Help. I am in a timecrunch |
Are the users on your site required to log into the site before registering?
Those a custom questions on the event yes?
So during the registration do you have any of the additional question fields set to required? When the user selects tickets EE will request any details needed based on the question group settings you have within the event. Any required questions will need to be answered at that time to allow the registration. On the receipt is an edit link – http://take.ms/DZOGI That link takes you to a page which can be used to edit the registration details. You an also add the Is that what you are looking for? Note that once a registration has been created within EE, the user can not add additional tickets to that registration, they need to select all of the tickets they need at the beginning. |

How do i determine if login is required for registrant? Or how do i make it to where it is required? |
EE doesn’t require any registrants to log in by default (see the add-on below), what I meant was do the members that are registering onto the events currently have an account on the site? Are you using a members plugin or similar to manage ‘members’ or are the events public and anyone can register?
You can use the EE4 User integration add-on which then adds an option to each event to set registrations to require login. However I’m not sure if that’s what you are looking for as the above isn’t really clear. Do you want all events to require a user to register onto your site (not Event Espresso or the Event but your site membership) before registering onto the event or are they public? |

No, not main login….. As it stands, the edit registration is only within the invoice (and it is somewhat hidden). I would like a BUTTON or LARGE link that i can embed into all correspondence. Please advise. |
As mentioned in my previous reply you can add that link to the messages. So for example you could go to: Event Espresso -> Messages -> Default message templates -> Registration Approved -> Registrant You’ll now be editing the registrant context for that message type. In visual mode of the ‘Main content’ you can add some text like this:
Then copy this shortcode – Select the ‘THIS LINK’ text and click the ‘Link’ icon on the editor and add that shortcode to the link – http://take.ms/5djvs One problem with this is the WP editor will add ‘http://’ before the shortcode, so switch to visual mode, and remove the ‘http://’ from just before the shortcode we used – http://take.ms/Gtx60 Each of the registration Approved messages then has a link the user can use to edit the details. Is that what you are looking for? |

So, any time i try to edit any of the outgoing messages, it gives me a long-winded error message. When sending a test email….the edits don’t come through at all. |

This is what i am talking about: http://awesomescreenshot.com/0106acl469 |
The long winded error message is telling you that the The reason your seeing this message is you are edited the ‘Event Admin’ context, not the registrant. So it’s the message that is sent to the event admin and not the user, that shortcode is not valid in that context. You need to switch the context to the ‘Registrant’, for more details view here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/messages-system-working-with-message-contexts/ |
