Ran the update to EE4 today and now I’m getting the following error in my debug log:

[04-Mar-2015 20:44:03 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /home/content/41/11578841/html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/db_classes/EE_Base_Class.class.php on line 232

[04-Mar-2015 20:44:06 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: HTTP_MOD_REWRITE in /home/content/41/11578841/html/wp-content/plugins/espresso-requirements-check/espresso_requirements_check.php on line 146

I then started looking back in the log and found the HTTP_MOD_REWRITE notice was happening every 10-15 seconds. My Debug Log is huge and I went back 5 days and it still shows it in the log.

Is this something I should worry about?

Hi Erick, WP Debugging logging works by making notes about your site as events occur. If its been on for some time, then it could explain the size of the log file.

It should be off on a live/production site:

The requirements plugins for Event Espresso can also be turned off. It runs some checks to see if Event Espresso will work with your hosting environment. It isn’t required to use Event Espresso.

Let us know if you see that notice after updating to the latest release:
