I’ve started getting a message stating “An error has occurred: Something went wrong because we’re missing the registration ID” when I try to send related messages when updating an individual’s registration status. Can someone please help asap? This is actually the last few days before our event and we haven’t been having this problem before. Just starting happening yesterday. |
Hi Wendy, Which specific version number of EE4 are you using, please? |
|
|
Version 4.10.21.p |

Now our ticketing system is not even working. We’re getting an error message when trying to select a ticket saying we need to select a quantity. This is after we are selecting one ticket. |
|
We actually have 2 events and we’re only having the ticketing issue with one of them but we’re having the registration update messaging error with both. |
Can you link me to the event so I can take a look? |

This one is the one we’re having both problems with: And this one is the one we’re just having the messaging error with: |

Hi Tony, any updates? We’d be happy to hire someone to help with this issue asap. This is our last business day before the event starts so we really need to have the events working during this critical time! |
|
Tony, so we’re able to send messages by selecting the resend registration option, so that’s a workaround for the first problem. But that doesn’t help solve the problem we’re having with the ticketing site where people can’t register right now. |
Hmm, strange. So for the message issue, we’ll need to update Event Espresso to fix that, however, there is a workaround that will work for now. When changing the registration status rather than doing so by editing the registration itself, do it within the Registration list table. Event Espresso -> Registrations. Find the registration in question and click the checkbox next to the name. At the top of the table, you’ll see a Bulk Actions dropdown. Select the status you want to set the registration to and the ‘… and notify’ option, then click Apply. EE will set the status you applied and trigger messages in the same way it would have done if you edited the individual registration.
This is odd, I’ve matched the setup on a couple of test sites with no issues there. We made changes in how requests are handled by Event Espresso starting with version 4.10.14.p+ but the fact this is happening on a specific event and then another work suggests this isn’t related to those changes but rather something blocking the request on the server. You could try reinstalling 4.10.13.p to see if works with that version, failing that we’ll need to debug this on the site to see what is happening with the request. |

I checked into this one of our developers and he noticed there are 5 ticket types on that event but only 2 showing. How are the tickets set up on that event? Can I take a look at the event? |
|

Hi Tony, yes we have some early bird and some speaker and sponsor tickets, but this is the same way we have done it for prior events and even this event with no issues until today. Actually the ticketing site problem started happening after we updated the plugin today around noon EST. Yes feel free to take a look. Let me know what you need from me to do so. |
Ok, thank you. If you can send me login details using this form I’ll check it out: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ If you want me to install 4.10.13.p ti make sure your event is us for now I’m happy to do so, but will require FTP credentials (we don’t change plugins/code on a site without them) |
