Hello,

How was Event Espresso updated?

If you did a one-click update through your WP dashboard (WP-admin), then you would be on the latest software which is higher than the version that you mentioned:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/

If you updated by overwriting the files and folders manually, then please deactivate and remove Event Espresso and download a fresh copy from your account page and then upload and activate the zip file.

Have you checked the Ticket email template? Does it have content?

Yes Josh, contents are there in Ticket Notice template, How can I give you wp-admin access, so you can look further, may some other settings affect this.

Hi there,

Go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings.

You’ll see a list of active messengers there, find the Ticket notice messenger and check is it in the active messengers box.

If it is, drag it to the in-active box, wait a few seconds and then drag it back.

Do the same for the ‘Ticket’ message.

Now go to Event Espresso -> Messages -> default message templates, are the ticket and ticket notices messengers shown there?

Hello Tony,

I try the same as you explain in last message, but I am still getting empty ticket message. One thing I notice, after update eea ticking plugin from 1.0.1 to 1.0.4, there is Ticket Notice template only, Ticket template is missing.

Please help soon, due to this I am suffering my business, I am ready to give access of demo server.

You’ll need to switch the Messages settings template type from Email to HTML to see the Ticket message. The Ticket Notice template is email, the tickets are actually html.

Hello Josh,

No, it doesn’t make any change, the result is same still the ticket notice email is empty

What exactly do you mean by “it”?

It mean the same you tell in last message.
In detail, I have switch the Messages settings template type from Email to HTML to see the Ticket message and move the ticket in active area.

FYI, I am dumping the variables on my local setup, I am getting $this->_content empty in _body function of F:\wamp\www\wordpress460\wp-content\plugins\event-espresso-core-reg\core\libraries\messages\messenger\EE_Email_messenger.class.php.

Can you please tell me why its becoming empty while I have set the Main content for Ticket Notice.

On other hand if I am sending the test mail from template page, its working fine. But its getting empty on registration and resend from the admin side.

So it sounds like you at least got the Ticket HTML message type reactivated. Can you check the PHP error logs to see if there’s a PHP error logged around the same time that the email was sent/generated? If you can set the Event Espresso > Messages > Settings option to send messages on the same request, that will help with troubleshooting and comparing the PHP error logs.

Josh, I changed the setting you asked to change in your last message, I checked the php error log, no such log entries are there related to EE. I also enable WP debug and test again, but not get any error.

We are getting the event registration email perfectly, but not the ticket notice, its comes always empty.

Josh we need a better support and solve this issue asap.

Thanks for your reply Josh, I have solve it myself. When I switch the user for ticket notice, the template for Registrant was empty. But I am still not sure if the template for Primary Registrant is set and empty for Registrant only then why I am not got the message set for primary Registrant. Can you clear it me.

You’ll need to make sure that the template for the Primary Registrant has a valid short code in the To: field. Normally those are turned off by default because the Primary Registrant will get the Registrant message as well. The short code that can be used for the Primary Registrant message To field is:

[PRIMARY_REGISTRANT_EMAIL]
