I was attempting to respond to a thread for a question I needed resolving. This message comes up: Matthew, your access to content on this page is restricted because it requires the purchase of a support license.
Unless I’m confused, I believe we did purchase EE4 Everything Else license which includes support.
Thanks for your response. It was in regards to the shortcodes earlier.
[ESPRESSO_EDIT_PROFILE]
[ESPRESSO_MY_EVENTS]
You mentioned that these aren’t in EE4.
Can we tap into that function directly with PHP, or if it is completely deprecated? We are trying to sort this one out for the members area we are working on.
Hi Matthew, those shortcodes are not currently available for Event Espresso 4 but are in the works — specifically a my events shortcode is under development.
I don’t think I was descriptive enough in my question:
Can we code the functionality directly in a PHP template file instead of using a shortcode to access that functionality. Or has the function been deprecated entirely rendering that an impossibility?
The “My Events” and “Edit Profile” functionality does not exist in EE4 at this time. Therefore, whether you use the code, or code it into a template, you will not get the intended results as in EE3.
