Hi there,

I am having issues updating the support license code on our site via the General Settings page.

It won’t let me change and save anything on that page… per the instructions for EE4, I copy the code, then erase it. Every time I click save the page just spins and eventually goes to a 504 gateway timeout error. This only happens on the general settings page of EE. All other pages, posts, settings across the site update fine.

I have contacted our hosting company about this. They got the same error only on that page. They said since everything else on the site is running fine, it must be something with the EE4 plugin.

Please help us get this resolved!

Thanks,

Marshall

Hi Marshall,

I’m not getting a 504 error when I save the same page on my site. So this doesn’t look like an issue with the EE4 plugin alone.

One thing you could check is whether this happens with all other plugin deactivated.

If the issue persists even with all other plugins activated, perhaps your host may be able to investigate and isolate the cause of the error a bit further. For example, they could check the error logs and access logs for the time the 504 gateway error occurred.

Ok, awesome thank you for the quick reply! I disabled a plugin and was able to update those settings. I am having one more issue though.

The emails that are going out from from the EE messages… It appears the email are coming from the old domain email that we had EE installed on before this site. For example, right now when I test send the Payment Received Template, in the from section on the email it lists “info@rvacreativewellness.org” (which is the old domain we are no longer using) instead of the new one “info@inpireartcenter.com”.

I have the correct new email set in the EE4 general settings so I’m not sure where the old email is being pulled from.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Thanks!

Hi,

If you look in the Payment Received template editor, what’s set for the From field? It will be good to check both contexts (admin and Primary Registrant).

In both the Primary registrant and Admin the From field is set to [CO_EMAIL].

NEVERMIND! Solved… silly error on my end, another mail plugin was forcing the old domain email into the from. One of those days haha
