Hi Serdar, do you have the German language file setup? https://eventespresso.com/wiki/translating-event-espresso/ http://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4 — |

Hi Lorenzo, thank you very much for your help I will try to make it as described. Serdar |

Please let us know how you get on. |
Hi Dean Hi Lorenzo, Well I made some serious advances dealing with the .po file and such, nevertheless I still have to come around some quirks concerning the look and feel of event espresso on our german website. In order to make my points clear I have made some screenshots. Can help me clarify the marked questions for me ? Thank you |

Well then I try it this way: you can find the Picture showing the Problems here: You can find the Picture showing our Date and Time Settings here |

Hi, The strings are as follows: Please note that a maximum number of %d tickets can be purchased for this event per order. Upcoming Date(s) and Time(s) The months will need to be translated in the PO file as well, an example showing July translated http://take.ms/eVB08 |
Dean Thank you for your hint. Well I have two problems right now: English German: But it doesnt show ? Also as depicted in the given Screenshot the guy posting these seems to have the same Problems concerning the Date and Time Formats as I do: It shows like this: Whereas in German it should show like this: This to my mind is due to some misconfiguration in our WordPress global Date and Time Settings which are shown here: Something is not right here. Thank you Dean |

Hi, The translation works for me: http://take.ms/NM3GE Where did you add the EE language files? They should be in wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages. Also are you running any cache plugins? Clearing them and the browser cache may help. The format is a little wrong at the moment, there is a developer ticket being worked on to change the settings slightly so they use the WordPress format rather than the current format that has been set. Once this is ready it will be added to a future release. |
We don’t Use no cache Plugins and don’t plan to use them any time soon. web/wp-content/languages/plugins There are lots of phrases that are being translated but not showing on my page. TICKET PRICE BREAKDOWN I am really getting desperate here there are so many things that I can’t do nothing about that it is getting very frustrating. Is there any other possible explanation what possible reasons could be ? Is there any other German user out there who can give me a clou ? Does your Version of Event Espresso work in German ? |
|
Hi, could you move your language files to the following location? wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages — |
|
Hello Lorenzo and Dean, we have changed the location of the language file. From web/wp-content/languages/plugins to wp-content/uploads/espresso/languages. But it’s still the same problem. Many phrases will not translated and i can’t still find some phrases in the language file. For example: Do you have some other hints for me? |

Hi Serdar,
The .po file you’re using would be helpful for us to narrow down what’s causing the issue. Please copy its contents and copy into a gitub gist or a pastebin, then reply here with a link where we can review the .po file’s contents. |
|
Hello Josh, thank you for your support. Here is the link to content of our language file. |

Hi Serdar, It turns out that you need the Event Espresso 4 translation. If you look at the first line of the file you posted it says: # Translation of Event Espresso in German You can identify the Event Espresso 4 .po file by checking its first line: # Translation of Event Espresso 4 in German While this will work to translate *some* of Event Espresso 4’s strings, it’s out of date and doesn’t have all the strings that the Event Espresso 4 .po file has. You can download the Event Espresso 4 German po file by going here: https://github.com/eventespresso/languages-ee4 You can ensure you’re getting the right files by downloading the entire package’s zip file, then copy the German files that you need after unzipping. |
