One of my users experienced an issue proceeding from the registration to the payment page in EE4, so I now have three abandoned registrations (as she was booking places for three people). Is there a way of generating a transaction for these registrations and changing the status to ‘Incomplete’, or do I have to cancel the registrations and start again?
You do not need to cancel the registration to do this, but it does require a workaround currently.
For the transactions to re-evaluate the status a payment must be applied to it. You can apply a payment within the admin, then remove it and the transaction will fix itself. However, and this is where the work around comes up. Payment emails are considered critical and therefore will always send when active. So when you apply a payment, an email will be sent to the registrant.
This can be prevented by temporarily disabling the payment email, making the payment and then enabling the payment message again. You can do this within Event Espresso -> Messages -> Settings – http://take.ms/CjSeY
Drag the payment received message type to the inactive box, apply the payment, drag it back.
We have a ticket to allow the admin to select if the Payment emails should be sent when they apply a payment in a future version of Event Espresso (which has been accepted and will be included)
when I follow the ‘Please make a payment’ link I get the message ‘No Payment Required’ on the Registration page, and it’s this link that I need to send to the primary registrant, so that she can pay by PayPal.
I replied to your email with details of this, please let me know if that allows the payment link to work as expected.
