We are running a reunion and people have currently purchasing their tickets for the events they want to go to. We are currently looking at putting together gift bags for each delegate and I was wondering whether I can control each delegate getting only one gift bag by creating a ticket for them to hand-in with a unique barcode so they cannot pick up a bag more than once.
So I guess my question really is how can I create a registration to an event (get my gift bag) from a list of people?
When you check-in attendees (either manually via the check-in interface on Event Espresso or by a ticket), it is recorded. So, if your check-in staff are looking at the live data, you should be able to ensure a ticket or person is only given a bag once… via the check-in history.
Yes this is what I want to do but I don’t want to have to type the details in for 390+ registrations. Is there a way to reuse contacts or programatically generate new registrations (I know you are working on a REST API)?
Hi Garth,
Being a reunion we have multiple events so people have registered for one or more of these events. We only want to give a gift bag once, who the check-in interface be able to tell us if this is the first time someone checked in if they have purchased tickets for multiple events within the same registration/transaction process?
No, there isn’t at this time. In this case, I would create a spreadsheet with those delegates. Then when they pickup, mark each members name off the list.
You could also use the newsletter feature (batch email button) on the Registrations page to notify those delegates to remind them to pickup their gift.
