We’ve noticed it may take up to 10 minutes to receive messages from the system, after someone makes an order.
Is this typical?
We’re using SendGrid, as well.

Hi,
Yes, that’s normal.
The emails go to a queue system, they ‘trigger’ and go to the generation queue.
There’s a corn that runs roughly every 5 mins (WP Cron can NOT be relied on for exact timings) which will ‘step’ the emails through the queue, first is generation then sending.
So registration based emails will take roughly 10 mins to work through the queue system, payment related emails are triggered instantly.
