Hello Support,
I am using EventExpresso Version: 3.1.36.6.P and wordpress version: WP 3.9.1
Our website is live and link of the EventExpresso registration page is given below….
http://www.prepdoctors.ca/dentistry/event-registration/?ee=14
I need few things in Event Expresso….
1>When a customer pays online via Paypal, they should receive an automatic email with a receipt that has hst number and taxes written on that.
2>If the client pays manually by cash, they should be able to print a receipt “which means the payment is received”
3>If someone lose the receipt,he can go back any time even after a year and ask for a receipt, then they will find his name and his payment and print a receipt.
Please let me know How can I get all these facility with Event Expresso? Is there any Add On or any other way?
Looking for your feedback.
Thank You.

Hello Wassim Amer,

Just to not cause confusion later on, this plugin is called Event Espresso not Event Expresso (which is another plugin not from ourselves) 🙂

1>When a customer pays online via Paypal, they should receive an automatic email with a receipt that has hst number and taxes written on that.

Is this PayPal standard (the user is sent to PayPal to pay) or Pro (user remains on your site to pay)?

PayPal will send the user a payment confirmation email with a summary of their payment.

2>If the client pays manually by cash, they should be able to print a receipt “which means the payment is received”

EE3 does not include ‘receipts’ as such, although you can send them an invoice which will show as a balance owed of 0.

3>If someone lose the receipt,he can go back any time even after a year and ask for a receipt, then they will find his name and his payment and print a receipt.

As long as you do not delete the attendee from Event Espresso you can do what I mentioned above at any time. Simply find the attendee, the admin can download the invoice and print that off.

Would that work?

Hi Wassim,

Event Espresso does not have a specific feature to show HST-based taxes in an event registration email. However, it should be able to meet your other project requirements.

Customize the payment received email template

From your WP dashboard go to Event Espresso –> General Settings –> Email Settings. You’ll then see something like this:

http://cl.ly/image/3x393u1a3g3X

By default, a payment confirmation email is sent out after a payment is received. The HST number can be added to that template and the event price is already included in that template. You can click on the custom email tags link to view additional shortcodes that are available.

On your second question, here is how I would handle this:

From your WP dashboard go to Event Espresso –> Email Templates. Then create a new template that will serve as a receipt and save changes.

Next, go to Event Espresso –> Event Overview. Locate your event and then click on the attendee count link for this event. It will appear in this format: 50/100. This will take you to the attendee list for this specific event.

Now locate the specific attendee/registrant in the list. Towards the left side of the screen, you’ll see an actions column. Click on the green icon:

You can then add the payment information, toggle the send payment received notice and then save changes by clicking on the update payment button.

Here is how I would resend a receipt:

Go to Event Espresso –> Event Overview. Locate your event and then click on the attendee count link for this event. It will appear in this format: 50/100. This will take you to the attendee list for this specific event.

Now locate the specific attendee/registrant in the list. Towards the left side of the screen, you’ll see an actions column. Click on the green icon:

On the same screen, select the template that you created earlier and scroll down and click on Send Invoice.

*In this case, it will not send an invoice. Instead it will use the receipt template that you created and send out that message.

Hello Lorenzo,
I have checked all of your idea you share with me.But in your comments you only give me the idea to send a receipt mail after successfull payment. But,I want to generate a receipt PDF like the invoice one.Want to send this pdf automatically with mail or manually from Admin.
Please let me know is there any way in Event Espresso to do this task or not?
Hope you understand my requirement.Thank You.

Hi Wassim,

Event Espresso does not have a built-in functionality to send a PDF receipt after a PayPal purchase.

An Event Espresso professional will be able to help you customize your site to create this functionality:
