1. Are registrants able to make edits to a registration after it’s been completed, i.e. adding more guest attendees, change answers to questions, or answer questions at a later date (like a t-shirt size)?
2. Is there a limit to how many questions I can add to a registration?
3. Is there an ability or add on that will allow registrations to create personal accounts in which they keep info, like, address, credit card info, or commonly repeated guest attendees?
4.Does the Ticket Printing/Scanning connect with Espresso in a way that when tickets are scanned the information is collected in our website so we can retrieve it or is there a separate app for that?
5. Is there a time span limit on how long an event can run for? Can you set up an ever ongoing event?
6. Can you limit the amount of tickets per item per registrant? For example, each registrant can only purchase 3 of a certain ticket.

7. Why is Braintree Gateway recommended over Paypal Payflow?

Hi there,

1. Are registrants able to make edits to a registration after it’s been completed, i.e. adding more guest attendees, change answers to questions, or answer questions at a later date (like a t-shirt size)?

They can edit the registration details but then can not add more guests/attendees.

So they can edit the questions asked and answer them at a later date for the amount of registrations they initially selected, but they can not add/remove registrations.

2. Is there a limit to how many questions I can add to a registration?

No.

3. Is there an ability or add on that will allow registrations to create personal accounts in which they keep info, like, address, credit card info, or commonly repeated guest attendees?

There is the EE4 User Integration add-on which allows for some of what you are looking for in that the checkout process will automatically pull in the first name, last and email address from the users account details. We also have snippets to allow address questions and previously answer questions to be populated.

However EE does not store credit card information (and likely never will) so automatically populating card information is not something we support.

4.Does the Ticket Printing/Scanning connect with Espresso in a way that when tickets are scanned the information is collected in our website so we can retrieve it or is there a separate app for that?

Registrations are checked/updated and checked in/out through the mobile apps (or through the admin) in real time so yes the information is stored on the site, although note that also means the apps require internet access at one the device they are being used on to work.

5. Is there a time span limit on how long an event can run for? Can you set up an ever ongoing event?

There is not limit to the length of an event however we do not currently support ‘on-going’ events, you can set up an event with a long start/end date and hide the dates on that event if needed, would that work?

6. Can you limit the amount of tickets per item per registrant? For example, each registrant can only purchase 3 of a certain ticket.

It depends how indepth you want to go with this.

You can set limits on the total number of registrations at once, you can set limits per ticket, only allowing a max of say 2 of a specific ticket and 2 of another but this does not prevent the user from making multiple registrations selecting the same tickets. Event Espresso does not currently ‘police’ registrations in that way.

7. Why is Braintree Gateway recommended over Paypal Payflow?

Where is that? Either should work fine so I’m not sure why that would be the case.

Hi there,

I’ll follow up with each of your questions below, and FYI, you do not need to redeem a support token to get answers to your questions like these.

1. Are registrants able to make edits to a registration after it’s been completed, i.e. adding more guest attendees, change answers to questions, or answer questions at a later date (like a t-shirt size)?

They can make edits to the registration form later, but they can’t add more attendees to the transaction.

2. Is there a limit to how many questions I can add to a registration?

No limits imposed by Event Espresso, but if you have hundreds or possibly thousands of questions your web server may hit a limit.

3. Is there an ability or add on that will allow registrations to create personal accounts in which they keep info, like, address, credit card info, or commonly repeated guest attendees?

No.

4.Does the Ticket Printing/Scanning connect with Espresso in a way that when tickets are scanned the information is collected in our website so we can retrieve it or is there a separate app for that?

Yes.

5. Is there a time span limit on how long an event can run for? Can you set up an ever ongoing event?

You can set an event to run for 1 minute, or 1 year (or more), and any amount of time in between those.

6. Can you limit the amount of tickets per item per registrant? For example, each registrant can only purchase 3 of a certain ticket.

No.

7. Why is Braintree Gateway recommended over Paypal Payflow?

I wasn’t aware that Braintree was recommended over PayPal Payflow. At one time, Braintree had a really nice promotion going for new accounts, which could be a plus over PayFlow, but they’re not running that promotion anymore. More info here:
