Hello, I’m unable to use the Event Espresso HD app on my T-mobile Galaxy S5. It shows 0 out of 0 events. I can sign in no problem and it works on IOS (The JSON API is installed). I’ve searched the forums but I don’t see any solutions for this problem. I know this post is general, but I’m not sure where to start. Please help! Sincerely, |
Hi Gary, I checked the site that’s tied to the support license key for your account and it’s throwing a fatal error due to what looks like a typo in your custom registration template located at /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates/registration_page.php on line 280. Can you start with fixing the custom template? |
Hi Josh, Sorry, that issue was regarding a customization I was working on. It has since been fixed. Sincerely, |
Hi Gary, Can you check the Event Espresso > API Settings page and make sure that the setting Allow Public API Access? is set to Allow. Currently your sites JSON feed is showing the error message that indicates that that setting is set to Don’t Allow. |
Hi Dean, I have set Allow Public API Access to Allow. |
I’m still the same error, even when logging into the app as admin. Sincerely, |
Thanks for checking that Gary. I’ll refer this onto the app developer for some feedback. |
I’ve done most of my testing on a Galaxy S5 phone and have not seen any issues. |

Hi Seth, Do you have any suggestions or are there any known issues which would cause 0 out of 0 events to load? Sincerely, |
Hi Gary, Do you have WP_Debug active? Is so disable it and retry. Also within your events are you using the [LISTATTENDEES] shortcode? |
WP_Debug is set to disable. Also, the [LISTATTENDEES] shortcode is not used. Sincerely, |
Hi Gary, Can you try logging your Galaxy S5 onto our test drive site with these credentials? Blog URL: testdrive.eventespresso.com Login ID: myespresso Password: mrespresso |
Hello Josh, The test drive login works on my S5. It must be something specifically with our setup. Is there anything that would cause Android not to work but IOS to continue to work fine? Sincerely, |
Hi Gary, I haven’t seen that happen, but it could be there’s an error in the JSON response that the iOS is handling differently than the Android app. I followed up with you in your other thread and posted a link to a copy of the JSON plugin that you can try instead of the one that you have now. Please let me know if that helps. |
