I currently can’t use my Event Espresso event ticketing agent. Occasionally, when I am adding an event to my Calendar, I can’t delete a ticket or duplicate the ticket. In addition, the date selector isn’t popping up. I am a designer and not a developer. I reached out to my web hosting and they said my Fusion Builder plugin isn’t working with Event Espresso. Can you please help me!? |
Hi there, Officially, Event Espresso does not support any page builders but it really depends on what you are trying to do. With regards to the issues you are reporting, that will happen if there is a Javascript error being thrown on the page. Are you using Chrome? If so open up Chrome Dev Tools and then edit an event, look in the ‘Console’ section of dev tools, do you see any errors? If so, post them here, please. |

I think I did this correctly, here is what it says: DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for https://www.lovejoyworkshop.com/wp-content/plugins/fusion-builder/css/css/fusion-builder.css.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE This is the listing I am trying to edit:https://www.lovejoyworkshop.com/events/date-night-love-theme-charcuterie-board-styling/ |
Hmm, those wouldn’t cause the errors mention. Can you add some details on what you are trying to do when this error happens? Are you trying to use fusion-builder within the event editor? |

Sure. This has been baffling to me considering I am not a developer. Currently, if I try to add or even edit an event, the date selector doesn’t come up at all to choose a date for the event or an expiration date for a specific ticket. In addition, I can not add (duplicate) nor delete a ticket. Which pretty much makes Event Espresso useless. This is a functionality that I need to run my business. I would love any help or suggestions. Thank you so much for taking the time to investigate this Tony. You have no idea how much I appreciate this. |
Do you mind if I log into the site and see if any errors pop up for me? The symptoms you’ve posted would definitely be a JavaScript error and likely from some other plugin (possibly fusion) running on our event editor when it shouldn’t be. Generally, we require a support token to log into sites and troubleshoot but I’ll happily check if there is an error we can work from first. If that’s ok, you can send temp login details using this form: |

Hey Tony, I think I sent you the correct information. Let me know if not. |
You did, thank you. So the error being thrown on your site is this one:
In short, Fusion Builder needs a fix within the code to work with the latest versions of jQuery (which are now used in WordPress 5.5+). Do you have an active support/update license with theme-fusion? If so I recommend contacting them and checking if there is an update available to fix this. The alternative is to install this plugin on the site: https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ Which ‘should’ fix it (temporarily) for now, however, I highly recommend option 1 as the above is intended as a stop-gap, not a ‘fix’. |

Who would I contact about the Fusion Builder? Thank you so much for all of your help. I will do the “patch” and then reach out to whoever you recommend. Thank you again! |
Its made by Theme Fusion, however, the first step they will likely tell you to do is to update to the lastest versions. Did you set up the site yourself or have someone do it for you? |

No, we set the site up ourselves. I reached out to Theme Fusion today. . . fingers crossed it will be taken care of. |
I’m interested to see where this goes, please od let us know what their reply is. |
