My client conducts seminars for 10-15 attendees. They occasionally give an attendee a “scholarship” i.e. for free. How can I set up the event such that the administrator can register a person without having to select PayPal? I know I can set up a free ticket price but I only want that accessible on the back end so the administrator can register the free ticket.
The admin can add registrations on an event within the admin.
Event Espresso -> Events -> {hover over event} -> Registrations.
At the top of the page is an ‘Add new registration’ button which loads the ticket selector within the admin and they can use that, then set the registration status of that registration to ‘Approved’.
That ticket will still show as having a ‘cost’ and an amount owed, but an ‘Approved’ registration applies to the sold values.
You mentioned using a ‘Free’ ticket and that is also possible with using the code here:
That adds an option to make a ticket ‘Admin only’ (meaning it will only load in the ticket selector loaded in the admin above).
Will either of those work for you?
