I have some events which are free to members. When I set up the $0 tickets, the software still makes the purchaser go through the whole registration. People are confused since the tickets are free. I’ve told them to select Invoice as the option. But I would prefer that they not have to go through checkout at all.

Hi there,

I’ve just run a quick test registration on the event mentioned, added my details and then from the attendee info step it finalized the registration (which is expected) without requesting a payment method.

The only time EE should request a payment method if is there is money owing on the transaction (meaning they have a ticket with a price greater then 0.00)

May I ask, did you previously have the Multi-Event Registration add-on enabled?

I played with the event a little more after posting my question. Looks like I did it right! Thank you for confirming that.

I do not have the Multi-Event Registration enabled. I’m having plenty of problems with single event registrations. I’m not ready to tackle multi-event registration!!!

Great, I’m glad you got it working.

If a user registers onto a ticket with a price, they will asked to select a payment method, if no price is set (well actually 0.00 will be set) then no payment method should be requested.

I do not have the Multi-Event Registration enabled.
