Free events nesting other events when using shortcode

I’m using the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode on the following page of my website – http://www.training-n-promo.com/training/workshops/ – and it appears that the free event listed first is nesting all the other events! And therefore breaking the page layout!!

When I use the shortcode to display anything other than the full list, it works fine, i.e a certain category.

Any ideas?

WP Version: 3.5.1

Hi Neil,

Thats very weird. Have you tested it with a default theme like TwentyTwelve to see if it is theme related?

Does this also happen on the default [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode page?

Have you tried adding raw tags to the [EVENT_LIST] ([raw][EVENT_LIST][/raw])?

Hi Dean,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

The website is using a child theme based on Twenty Twelve. I’ve just tested it with Twenty Twelve and the same thing was occuring. I’ve also added the raw tags to both the [EVENT_LIST] and [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcodes, with no luck – the free event is still nesting all the others!

Any more suggestions? I’m currently very baffled!!

Hmm, baffling indeed.

Have you tried disabling plugins?

Yep! Still no change!! Could it be something to do with the latest up-grade?

Hi Neil,

It looks like there’s an opening div at the beginning of the event description. Normally this would be okay, except that it’s followed by a more tag after some content, then more content and a closing div tag. Since the closing div tag is after the more tag, there’s an unclosed div on the event list page.

Can you go to edit the free event and remove any divs in the text mode of the event description editor?

Thanks for the advice, Josh. All div tags now removed and everything back to normal.
