I am getting a “This transaction has been overpaid!” message for 3 attendees that were registered in the same transaction. I went to the primary registrant and saw that under “Attendees Register in the Transaction” was the following message:
For some reason, there are no attendees registered for this transaction.
An email was already sent to the registrant that they overpaid when they didn’t.
This is the type of thing that can happen if the checkout page and thank you page are served from a cache. I see that there were some caching-related issues on your site before.
If your site is still hosted on GoDaddy you might need to deactivate caching again (the same steps you followed before, posted here). The caching may have been reactivated.
I’m sorry, I failed to mention that deactivating the caching will not actually fix previously broken transactions, it will only prevent new transactions from doing the same.
You probably have the data for those registrations elsewhere, like in a registration notification email. So what you could do is check the registration list for the event they registered for. If they’re not listed there, you can add the registrations via the admin. That will create a new transaction, and you can manually add a record of payment there. Then, in the old transaction, the payment record can be deleted.
