I was a customer in the past but had issues with the slug not displaying the event espresso events. I think there was a conflict with the slug somewhere. We tried a few workarounds without any success. Lorenzo wrote me today saying there was an update with renaming the slug with updated ee4. Here is the link to the topic https://eventespresso.com/topic/how-do-we-change-the-custom-post-type-slug-for-ee4/#post-172676
I was unable to respond in it because I do not have an active license, so here is my reply:
This might finally be the fix that we need to start using your product. We had to bail on it because it was not working with the current slug setup. I know at the end of year there is usually an option for a renewal discount, I did not take advantage of it because of the slug issue. Any chance that I could have it and give this a shot?
The idea is for event espresso to do he higher end events and ticketing aspect, or even take over all of the events. I would be excited to give this another try.

Also, so there isn’t any confusion, the option in the templates page does the same thing as the filter. Its just an easier way to change it since in can be done in the WP dashboard ran than in a site specific plugin or a child theme’s functions.php file.
Thanks
