We have an event with ticket prices increasing based on dates. We would like to have a promotion code that will be a fixed flat fee for the event, no matter when the ticket is purchased. Is there a way/snippet to accomplish that? We do not want something that is obvious on the registration page — only some attendees will have that promotion.

Hi there,
We don’t have a snippet to do this but you can use the Promotions add-on for the above.
Setup a promotion with a fixed discount and apply it to that event, then give the promotion code to those select few users. If you wanted promotions codes unique for each specific user you can set those up and have single-use promotion codes which you then send out to users (although note those promotion codes will need to be manually created).
The promotion code field will show up on the payment options step of the registration but no discount will be given unless the user knows the promotion code.

Thanks, Tony, we use the Promotions add=on. But it only offers discount percentages or price subtraction. I was hoping there was some way to have a promotional fixed fee for the whole conference that is independent of the fluctuating ticket price.

Ohh, sorry, I misunderstood here.
So to confirm I follow correctly, you’re wanting to charge X price regardless of what the current ticket price is?
So with easy numbers if your ticket prices are:
Early – 100
Regular – 125
Late – 150
Do you want the ability to charge some users say $90 regardless to register regardless of the current ticket price?
