Hi there,
the featured Image from the Event is only shown in Event-List-View. I miss it in the Single-Event-View. We are using the Panino-Theme from subsolar, a payed Theme from Themforest. It has subfolders, the templates loop and header-parts are split to diffrent files. The theme author uses Unyson as Page Builder, that works more or less on all other sites, but not for Event Espresso Events. Would be nice to use this for Events too, but not necessary. A child theme is also provided, but using it means actally forego the icon-picker for elements, but thats another problem, already reported to the Theme-Author.
I would really like to know which are the nescecary files to edit and would love to get some snippets with little description to enhance the theme to show the featured Image from an Event.

Hi Jan,
I’m afraid I’m not familiar with the Panino theme to be able to tell you exactly which file to edit. Normally the WordPress theme hierarchy will load in the single.php file for single event views, so if Panino has a single.php file that’d be the place to start.
If you can upload the theme to a dropbox or similar, then link to the file here we can download it, review it, and give you more specific advise.

it has singele.php, but there it loads different things, i’m not familiar with…

Pls. take also a look at the child theme, do you see icons in the icon picker of e.g. a Button, if activated?

i temporarly solved the Problem. I edited the header.php of the panino-theme, enhanced the switch at the bottom to detect ee-single-template. I added and assigned a new ee-header-template.
Now the featured Image and the Title are similar to the view of blog-Posts. Further formating i can do now in the ee-header-template. I prefer doing this in a child-theme, but then i have the mentioned icon-Problems. Works for now. 🙂
Wishlist: Would be nice to have the Event-Views also in panino-Design for the future (http://subsolardesigns.com/panino/events/) and to see a Information on the EE compatible Theme List about Panino, because Panino has also an rudimental “Event-Management” Section. It’s little bit confusing for the Editors to have “Events” Button in the Backend. A sustainable solution/combination for this doubling would be perfekt 🙂
