Featured Image Error

I’ve had no troubles with this until today.  I am creating a new event and uploading a featured image.  After inserting the image, the only thing that appears is a mini blue box with a question mark.  This has never happened before.  I did update to the latest version of Event Espresso yesterday.

I still need help with this. After trying multiple times I am still receiving the same error.  I need the image to appear on my event calendar.

The event is May 13th on the calendar… see link.

Hello Melissa,

The error, is it just the blue box or is there an error message of some form?

Are you uploading the image from your computer or is it one you have previously used on your site?

What format is the image in and what is the file name of the image please?

There error is just a blue box.  There is no error message with it.  When I refresh the page, the blue box disappears and I attempt to upload the featured image again.  Again, the blue box appears.

This is a new event so I am uploading the image from my computer.  It is now in my media library 4 times.  I have tried to upload the image multiple times both from my computer and media library.

The image is a jpeg file.  The file name is heartleaves.jpg.

Hi Melissa,

This sounds like the default link type may not be set correctly.

You can check whether this is the case by logging into the admin of your site and going to http://yoursitename.com/wp-admin/options.php and look for “image_default_link_type”. It should say file in the setting there for “image_default_link_type” like this:
