I’d like to request a download manager for course materials. Login would be email address/reg code. From there the user would be presented with a personalized download page with materials that are designated for their specific event that they have registered for.

In the mean time I think we are going to do a course download on the thank you page using ACFs but it’s extremely likely that folks won’t download the materials when their course is several months away, and then we will have to manually send them out. This will allow them to download them at their pleasure, or when we send a reminder notification that their event is upcoming and instructions on how to access the download page.

Thanks for taking the time to leave this valuable feedback. You can actually do this now because they can access their Thank You page at any time.

The Thank You page URL can be output in the Automated Upcoming Event Reminder message type (currently in beta), or other registration details email messages. The shortcode you add to your messages to output their Thank You page URL is [PAYMENT_URL].

Ok so I used ACF to do the custom fields and it’s showing up in my event creation page but not on the thank you page. In ACF under Location; Rules; I’ve got Post Type is equal to, but then the drop down doesn’t have an option for espresso_events. There is ‘event’ so I chose that.. but it’s not working. Any ideas?

If your custom fields appear on the Event Espresso editor page then ACF is working. The part that adds the custom fields values to the Thank you page is the custom code that hooks into the Thank You page hooks. Did you follow the part of the guide under the “Add a Custom Hook” heading?

I did. I used option 2 with the site specific plugin.

May I ask is the site specific plugin marked as activated on the WP > Plugins page?
