We were experiencing a memory error on check out. I debugged this by going through each plugin and enabling each one at a time. I thought GMAIL SMTP was the culprit, but it seems it is back.

I disabled all plugins except for Event Espresso and when simply trying to load the site I get this error:

Fatal error: Uncaught exception ‘EventEspresso\core\exceptions\InvalidSessionDataException’ with message ‘The session data is missing, invalid, or corrupted.’ in /****/****/public_html/theconduitcenter.com/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Session.core.php:607 Stack trace: #0 /****/****/public_html/theconduitcenter.com/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Session.core.php(484): EE_Session->_retrieve_session_data() #1 /****/****/public_html/theconduitcenter.com/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Session.core.php(214): EE_Session->_espresso_session() #2 [internal function]: EE_Session->open_session(”) #3 /****/****/public_html/theconduitcenter.com/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(298): call_user_func_array(Array, Array) #4 /****/****/public_html/theconduitcenter.com/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php(323): WP_Hook->apply_filters(”, Array) #5 /****/****/public_html/theconduitcenter.com/wp-includes/plugin.php(453): WP_Hook->do_action(Array) #6 in /****/****/public_html/theconduitcenter.com/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Session.core.php on line 607

What’s going on? What do should I do?

Thanks

Jeff

Also I did scour the forums a bit, I tried the “encode session” in admin options and that didn’t change anything. I don’t understand how this can be happening with only the Event Espresso core plug-in enabled.

Hi Jeff,

The first thing to do is update to the current version of Event Espresso 4:
Event Espresso Version 4.9.48.p. If you continue to see errors after the update you can also run a repair on the options table, there may be some corrupt data there.

Here’s a link to some information about a plugin that can be used to repair the tables:
