I followed the download instructions as listed on in my account but the when I activated the EE4 core plugin on my WP site, the backend crashed due to this issue: Fatal error: Class ‘EE_Config_Base’ not found in /home4/npd/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/EE_Network_Config.core.php on line 219 We deleted the plugin from our hosting login, so the site is back up but please advise how to fix this issue so that we can actually use Event Espresso. |

Hi, May I ask by which means did you install Event Espresso? Manually via FTP or did you use the WP admin Plugin’s Add New plugin installer? The error message indicates there were files missing from your installation so the next step will be to, download the a fresh copy of the plugin from your account page and re-install from Plugins → Add new → Upload plugin. |

Hi Josh, Thanks for the response. I installed in through WP Admin Plugin’s Add New Plugin installer after downloading the file directly from this website. Is it possible to give you login credentials via email or something and have one of you guys install it for us? |

We have a secure form for sending in temporary admin access: https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ Please note that we’ll need temporary FTP access in order to verify the installation/troubleshoot this, in addition to the temporary WP Admin access. |

Thanks, Josh. I have submitted all of the necessary logins through the form linked above. Let us know if there is anything else you need. Thank you for your help! |

We received them, but we do need the correct password for logging into the WordPress dashboard. The error message is: The FTP information is correct, so no need to resend those. Can you doublecheck and resend the WP dashboard login information? |
|
Josh, Sorry about that! I resent the info. |

Hi, This took some time to troubleshoot, mostly because I spun up a testing site that has the same, old, version of WP that your site has, and then installed some of the same plugins. From what I found, the problem only happens if it’s an older version of WordPress (in this case 4.6.12) and the Tickera plugin is activated. If I activate the Tickera plugin on a site that has the current version of WordPress, no issues with Fatal Errors when I activate Event Espresso 4 there. So the way forward will be to update your site to the current version of WordPress. If you cannot do that right now, a temporary workaround that might work (it did on my testing site with WP 4.6) will be to deactivate the Tickera plugin until you can update to the current version of WordPress. |

Josh, Got it! Thank you for all of your help. I’ll let you know if we run into any more issues. |
