I was not successful in uploading the ZIP file for the EE4 plugin to our instance of WP and resorted to FTP. This of course was after doing a full backup of our site and database, as well as deactivating the EE3 plugin.
Following the transfer of files via FTP, I logged into the site to activate EE4 plugin and received this error ‘Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7680 bytes) in /home/kesc/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/CPTs/EE_CPT_Strategy.core.php on line 95’. Additionally our public facing site displays a new header with the message ‘Event Registration is currently disabled because Event Espresso has been placed into Maintenance Mode. To change Maintenance Mode settings, click here » EE Maintenance Mode Admin Page’ and clicking the link results in the same message noted above as does trying to access the dashboard via mysite/wp-admin.
We’re using a Genesis/Studio Press theme and I’m sorry but cannot access the current version of WP but am certain it was up to date.
I purchased a priority support token but its not obvious how to initiate its use.
Hi Drew, I sent a reply over explaining the changes that were made.
Thanks and enjoy your weekend!
