Hello,
I just purchased Event Espresso to use with the LearnPress plugin. I tried adding my first event through Event Espresso and got this error:
Fatal error: Namespace declaration statement has to be the very first statement or after any declare call in the script in /home/hellolan/public_html/wp-content/plugins/event-espresso-core-reg/core/domain/entities/DbSafeDateTime.php on line 3

Any help on this issue will be great. Thanks

Josh

The first thing to check would be to check any PHP files on the server that have been recently edited, and if they have, were they converted to UTF8 with BOM? Or are there any spaces before the opening PHP tag?

I’m not sure why it would only affect that one file, but that’s the common cause of that error, which isn’t a common error that happens with Event Espresso.

Another thing to try which can rule out a plugin conflict would be to temporarily deactivate all other plugins, then try adding an event again.
