I am gettig a very similar issue on my site. If you go to https://childbirthconcierge.com/childbirthclasses/breastfeeding-newborn-postpartum-classin-person-delaney-park-downtown-orlando-2022-2/ you can choose a date but when you go click to registration there is NO information to fill out.

When I try to manually add someone to a class, is tells me there is a There has been a critical error on this website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

I am at a loss at this point.

Can you go to EE dashboard ->Admin Option -> then Set encode session data to “NO” and save.

Let me know if it works.

It worked for us too. I wonder how something like this would happen all of a sudden when it was working well all along. We lost 4 days of revenue by not being able to use the event plug-in. How am I to be sure something like this does not happen again.

Ours was 4 days as well, and We had tried all kinds of things! Must. have been something that triggered a change. Our site is in Word Press.

Ours is also WordPress. I would like to know how we can prevent something like this from happening again

Hi there,

Unfortunately due to the nature of WordPress and how the updates work, you can’t prevent this from happening 100% of the time.

What we can do is help troubleshoot, diagnose and patch any issues like the above as quickly as we can, we can’t guarantee all possible server setups and plugin combinations etc.

One option is to use a staging site where you can test updates before pushing them live.
