Hi,
I see that to delete an event (Which has finished & no longer require in the system) from the system, we will have to delete it’s transaction first. Now again to delete a transaction, we must delete it’s payment first. This is a very time consuming task.
What if an event is having transactions in hundreds or thousand in that case it will take days to delete an event.
There must be an option to bulk delete the transaction & payments so that events can be deleted quickly which are no longer required.
There should be an “Power Delete” option for an event which must delete the event from the system including all its transactions & payments as if the event was never created in the system. To avoid accidentally deletion of such option, we can ask for admin password.

Hi Atharveda,
Currently EE does not expect that past events will be removed from the system so there is no ‘Power delete’ option.
There is a ‘reset’ feature however it will delete all of the EE4 data on your site to allow you to start fresh, which I don’t think you are looking to do?
Can I ask why you needed to remove the data?
Do you not need to keep a record of the registrations on your events?

Hi Tony,
There is mailchimp integration already available. We will already backup the customer details in Mailchimp. So we don’t want to keep the transaction & payment records which is older than certain time period.
We think it will unnecessary slow down the application. Second reason is that we don’t want to show the events which are already expired after some time.
Please suggest if we have any better option for this?

Another option you could make use of is set up a new site for new events and registrations going forward. Then you can archive the data from the original site. One thing to consider though: The older event and registration data shouldn’t slow things down.
