Hi there. I am wondering if EE4 will allow the creation of a Family Ticket / Family pass that will capture the details of 4 attendees.

I am creating an event which allows registration of Adults (@ $10ea) and Juniors/Kids (@ $5ea) but want to offer a Family Pass @ $25. Will this plugin allow for that?

I also need to capture additional information for each attendee (such as Date of Birth, and Male or Female) so if a Family Pass is selected, will this be OK?

Finally, am I able to capture Additional Info for the entire order. Ie. Someone buys 5x Adults tickets, and 1x Family Pass – Can I have a Radio selection which asks if they are dining together, or separately?

This looks to be a very promising plugin so hopefully I can achieve what I need (even using workarounds if required) and I will buy ASAP.

How are you today?

I think you will find that Ticket Bundles should work well for your family tickets: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-ticket-bundle/

You can also choose to collect the registration information for each attendee by requiring those questions for additional attendees: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/questions/

You could ask the Primary Attendee if the group is dining together or not, but not ask that question to the Additional Attendees.

Hi Garth. Thanks for the reply and the tip. I created a Demo to test it out and it can work quite well. The only issue I have is for the extra attendees, I only need a First Name and a DOB.

RE: Question Groups – I created a new Question group and assigned it to the extra attendees (and unticked Personal Information) – however the registrations that are submitted do not have the name in the Attendee section (they are all the same as Primary Attendee)

Is it possible to keep the Personal Information ticked, but not show the Email address (well show it only for the Primary Attendee)? It seems I can’t edit these “system” groups.

Otherwise how can those that form part of the Family ticket have their names registered properly as attendees?

Hi Luke,

Currently to have each registrant show up with the correct details you would need to request personal information for your additional registrants.

You are correct that you can not remove the email address field from that question group as those 3 questions are considered critical for the registrations to work. Each unique registration creates a contact from the personal info details given, if you don’t request that group for additional registrations then the primary registrants contact ( created from the first set of information given on the registration form) is used for all of the registrations, which is why you see the ‘wrong’ info.

If you request the personal information group for additional registrants they can use the copy details button to copy the primary registrations details to all fields, then edit each attendees name (leaving the email address the same).

In short with Event Espresso’s current behaviour you can not request only First and Last Name for additional registrants in a way that would show the registrations with the ‘correct’ name within the admin. To do this would require some custom development.

We do have this on our road map but it is currently not an available feature.
