I just checked my Apache/PHP Error logs and found a countless number of the following entries. As you can see, it happens several times every second. Please advise on a cause and cure for this issue. I’ve replaced part of the IP address and my domain with x’s for privacy purposes.

I’m not sure if all of this is related, but customers are also occasionally experiencing 508 errors. We sometimes see them pop up while just sitting in the dashboard as well (not necessarily in an EE4 screen).

Lastly, a customer reported the following error during registration…

An error has occurred:
Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations.
EE_SPCO_Reg_Step_Attendee_Information – process_reg_step – 598

I don’t believe this to be a common occurrence, but it happened recently.

Thanks!

Hi,

Regarding the first errors, it looks like this is a server set up issue. I would refer to your host for assistance and ask them why the “Permission denied in /nas/wp/www/common/production/php_prevent_flock.php” error is occurring.

The 508 error in full is 508 Resource Limit is reached. This again, is a server issue in that the server has limited resources and/or your site is maxing out the resources.
You will need to ask you host what resource is being maxed out (usually RAM, CPU or INODE) and what’s causing it (I would also check the max value so you can compare to other hosting to see if you are being unduly limited).

The last error, Your form data could not be applied to any valid registrations, is normally due to caching. Do you have any Caching plugins on your site or is your host running server level caching (you may have to ask about this). If so you can add EE pages to your cache white list, see here: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/
