I’m working with my client’s live site and a development site. I haven’t activated the plugin on the development site because they only use the one license. When I first installed the dev site, it said I had deactivate as it wouldn’t work on both sites. They have added more classes to the live site, so I need to export the latest and import into the dev site before I make the dev site the live site.

What’s the best way to transfer all of EE3 data from one site’s database to the other?

By my count, I’d have to export 29 tables in the database and make sure those get imported into each of the same on the dev site. That just seems like a recipe for disaster. Is that the best way?

Please advise! Thank you for your help.

Hi,

If it’s an EE3 site, then you migrate all of the tables that have names prefixed with _events_.

wrt the support license key, you add the key to the live site or the dev site but not both. This does not mean the plugin won’t work on both sites though. The plugin will work 100% the same without the key.
