Export Registrations To CSV Not Working for Some Events

The client needs to run or use the export to csv button to download registrations for each conference each month. Most registrations download as expected but a few of them just get “waiting for example.com…”.

Issue:
For the Events that are not responding, I looking under the hood( Chrome development console) and looked at the Network Pannel i can see wp-admin-ajax.php is making the xhr POSt but it just cancels after about 30s and continues to make the xhr post call repeatedly and only to time out again and again.
I called Rackspace (hosting could server provider) and had them look at the php max time limit and reset the mysql read write max time limit as well. They could see that wp-admin-ajax.php was making the call to the database and all they could see was that the connection remained persistent and would stop when I killed the request from the browser.

Next we checked the error logs and turned on WP_DEBUG to true and couldn’t get any help there either. I say all this to show you all the steps that we took to try to resolve the issue and still not results. We let the script run for about 40 minutes and the download never happened.

Hi there,

I’m not sure how much we can troubleshoot this with the server in its current state, it seems like there are some general hosting/database issues that need to be addressed first. For example, I used the credentials you sent and logged in, but the WP admin will not even load the WordPress > Plugins page so I can check which plugins are activated.

Can you check with the host to see if it’s possible to do a backup of the database, then run the optimize/repair tables script? After that’s done, that may help so that the WordPress admin functions, and we should be able to investigate the CSV report issue.
