Hello
I have a question about Event excerpts specifically as they effect event display in the event calendar. By default it seems the calendar shows the full event description which makes the calendar entries unreadable because they take up more space than the page has available. I understand I can insert a read more tag into the event description as a way to control this. However I don’t see an excerpt box like in wordpress posts to set a specific excerpt, is there a way to do this? Alternatively can the calendar be set to only show excerpts by default or am I missing the way to properly control calendar display?
thanks
PS – we’re using the latest version of WordPress and the latest version of EE3 and the calendar addon
Sure I can do that but I was wondering if there was a general setting to use excerpts or a way to define a custom excerpt like in a standard wordpress post?
Hi, you would need to add the more tag through each event’s description. There isn’t a global option that is set through the event calendar settings.
