Hi there, We are trying to integrate with eway rapid 3.0. So far, using sandbox, its working but we are not seeing any transaction details at the eway side. No description of purchase or reference etc, so it’s difficult to see what event the customer purchased. Do I need to update anything? Also, do I need to order SSL if I am using this method. I can’t quite get my head around that bit! Thanks. |

Hi there, The sandbox transactions will be in the Sandbox account, are you looking there? I can point you to the Eway documentation, their section on Testing starts on page 35 of this document: http://www.eway.com.au/docs/api-documentation/rapid3-0documentation.pdf?sfvrsn=2 Since you are taking credit info on your site ( not their site ) with the rapid 3 integration, an SSL certificate is required, Eway has their recommendations for SSL here: http://www.eway.com.au/developers/cheap-ssl DigiCert and NameCheap are also good optons. |

Hi Josh, We have decided to use the shared payment platform instead, but the transactions are still not showing up in the sandbox account. I’m not entirely sure, however that I have the correct settings anyway. Do you have any extra documentation on setting up eway? Thanks. |
Hi again, I think we will go with Rapid 3.0 after all and get a SSL cert. However, the actual event information is not showing up on the transactions. Is there a way to update that? |
There are some fixes in 3.1.30 that may take care of that. We’re hoping to release the update today or tomorrow. |
That’s great news. thanks. |
Hi there, I’m not so certain that .30 will fix this, we didn’t change much in the eway integration. When you set up a sandbox account, did you set up a client area for it? |
Yes, i did. The transaction shows: name and amount, but no event details. So if i needed to cross reference transactions it wouldnt work. |
Okay, so the transactions are showing up, but you want to add event details? I’ll have to check to see if that’s possible to add to the eway gateway. |
Yes correct. Just the same as on a paypal transaction. Actually in addition showing the event date would be a bonus too as many of our events are repeated. |
Any update on this? I now have eWay live on our site. For a single event purchase it will show the event name – but not the customer details or the event ID (only the card holder details). For multiple event purchases, it shows nothing (only the card holder details). It seems as though more information should be captured as standard? |
We have to work with what the gateway allows. As such, we need to check with the dev team who has more experience with the capabilities of the individual gateways to see if it’s actually possible. |
OK, thanks. Out of interest does paypal allow multiple purchase info to show up? |
Ugh. Since yesterday’s upgrade now even “invoice description” information is no longer showing up. That should contain information, right? |
Any update on this? I would love to finish this off. Thanks. |
Hi there, We need a few specific details about what you are seeing so we can investigate further. Which version was the site updated from when you noticed a change? Can you post a screenshot of where you’re not seeing the invoice description information? |
Hi Josh, We have only just started with eway so didn’t see it with previous editions. |
Hi there, Your screenshot shows that the invoice description is displaying. I find the same when testing. So to answer your question from the previous page in this thread:
It should, and it does appear for me and your screenshot shows it’s displaying for you. With the address fields, the Event Espresso Eway integration does not include these fields on the payment page or pass this information to Eway and would need to customized in order to do so. The First and Last name fields from the Registration form get passed into the Card Holder’s name field. With your multi-events not being itemized into the invoice description: The current integration does not itemize the events and report those to Eway. It sends the name of only one of the events. |
Well, that told me! |
