Events with multiple options (at various costs)

I would like to open registration for an athletic event that is rather complicated and was hoping someone could help guide me. The event runs for 2 days (a weekend), but participants can sign up for the whole weekend at $40 or only Saturday ($25) or only Sunday ($25). That would seem pretty straight forward, except that people have the option of participating using their own equipment or renting our equipment (which is limited for each of the days and costs $15/day). Is there a way to make this ONE event? Or do I have to make an event for every registration option? It gets a little busy…there would be 8 options. (ie. Weekend Pass Only, Weekend Pass + 2-day rental, Weekend Pass + Sat rental, Weekend Pass + Sun rental, Sat Pass Only, Sat Pass + Sat rental, Sun Pass Only, Sun Pass + Sun rental)

Also, I mentioned the equipment is limited…there are also different types of equipment (ie. 10 large, 6 small, 15 medium for example). How would I incorporate that?

Perhaps I could just keep track of the equipment that has been spoken for manually (on a sheet of paper)…but I still need to know which size they want. Is it possible to add custom questions to the registration form?

I’m interested in how you did this.

We have a similar situation:
an event that has MULTIPLE signup options

  • *member at $100, or
  • *non-member at $125

PLUS many options you can add onto your registration, example:

  • *dinner $35
  • *conference A $25
  • *conference B $15
  • *etc.

HELP?

Right now I literally have 8 payment options:

Weekend Pass Only
Weekend Pass + 2-day rental
Weekend Pass + Sat rental
Weekend Pass + Sun rental
Sat Pass Only
Sat Pass + Sat rental
Sun Pass Only
Sun Pass + Sun rental

Not at all ideal. Hoping someone can offer another suggestion.

Right now the best way to do this sort of thing is by creating separate events, but this is coming in Event Espresso 3.2.
