Hi,

Wordpress 4.1
EE4 4.4.8

Our school offers multiple classes at different times and at different price points. EE4 allows us to setup the dates and tickets fine but the display of these is something to be desired. See working event at http://www.primitiveskills.com/events/winter-foraging/. My questions for you are:

1) Is there a way to use the price modifiers as a selection tool to modify the base price either up or down as needed? I’d prefer to show only one ticket per class. I tried using the price modifier but it didn’t seem to work the way I needed it too.

2) I’d like to display the course description, the course date and then the tickets associated with that date instead of the tickets with random course dates below the way that it is currently showing. How can I do this?

Thanks,
Candi

Hi Candi,

The price modifiers that are available for each ticket or pricing option current adjusts the price up or down. They work independently of each other.

It sounds like you are trying to set a base price with additional questions that adjust the base price. This is not available in Event Espresso 4 as the ticket selector works differently.

However, that is available in Event Espresso 3.

The ticket selector in Event Espresso 4 cannot be split up at this time. However, here is an example of how to reposition the order of the content on the single event page:

It can be added to your child theme’s functions.php file or you can add it to a site specific plugin:

Hi Lorenzo

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. As for the price modifiers, we don’t actually need them to ask questions, just to select which price represents them. I’m not sure I understand how the modifiers work. Do you have a working example that I can take a look at?

I will try to reposition the content and see if that helps. Do you know if I can do this:

Event Title
Description
Event Datetime
Tickets for Datetime
Next Event Datetime
Tickets for datetime

I think if I can use the modifiers in someway and reposition the content, it might be just what I am looking for.

Hi Candi,

The ticket selector and datetimes can’t be split up. The following arrangement isn’t available:

Event Title
Description
Event Datetime
Tickets for Datetime
Next Event Datetime
Tickets for datetime

However, this is:

Event Title
Description
Event Datetimes
Ticket Selector

We can also do another variation of the order above. Just let us know and we’ll share an example.

Thanks.

Lorenzo
