Hello, may I have instructions on how to do this:

The Events Table View Template add-on can be used by adding a shortcode to a WordPress page or post.

I see the list of shortcodes on your tutorial. I went into WP and set up a new page and tried to enter into shortcode section.

Thanks for your help! Simple jargon free instructions would be awesome.

Hi,

May I ask have you installed the Events Table View Template plugin yet? If not, then you follow the instructions at the very beginning of the tutorial:

Thanks.

May I ask what happened when you tried to input a shortcode into the shortcode section?

Hi Josh,

1) I set up a new page
2) Click ‘Insert ShortCode’
3) Enter short-code into “private”
4) Preview Page and it is blank

Did I complete steps 1-4 correctly? If so, how do I connect the events to the new page?

Thanks.

Your steps seem unfamiliar. Here’s a short video that shows how to add the shortcode to a WP page (if using WordPress 4.9.8 or lower)

Thanks Josh,

I followed your video and entered this code: [ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE order_by=start_date]

I save the draft and his “preview” and nothing happens.

How do I get the table to show up and how do I link it to the events?

Thanks!

You might need to publish as some themes do not support previews well. You do not link it to the events, the table template plugin takes care of doing all the linking.

OK. I opened a new Page. Then I inserted the shortcode, as instructed in your video. Then I published the page vs saving a draft. Nothing happens when I view the published page.

Hi,

May I ask do you have any events published yet? The reason I ask is because if there’s only a draft event or two, with no events published, the Table View Template has nothing to display.

Thanks! That was it. I’ll post some separate questions in a new thread.
